Transforming Demographic Data into Governance Tools for Africa's Development
Over three decades, Dr Richard Dackam Ngatchou has guided governments, UN agencies, and national statistical offices in more than twenty African countries. His work links population data, maternal health, and family planning with concrete policy reforms, including the creation of the National Family Planning Programme (PNPF) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Policy Impact
Helped launch the first national family planning programme in DRC, recognized in Family Planning in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: Confronting the Chaos (Bertrand, 2022).
